NS Harrisburg Terminal Re-Signaled

So it appears that my prediction from two weeks ago was exactly flip-flopped.  Despite the 5-track signal bridge for CP-HARRISBURG remaining on the ground as of Labour Day weekend, it was the Harrisburg Terminal and not the old Middle Division that saw the new signaling cut over on the weekend of September 9th and 10th.  The affected interlockings are CP-HARRISBURG, CP-ROCKVILLE, CP-WYE, CP-HIP and CP-MARY.  CP-BANKS and CP-CANNON will be cut over in the next few weeks.

Ha ha, fooled me.
Coincidentally I just completed processing a photo set I compiled last October that documents CP-HIP and CP-HARRIS.  So click the link and take yourself back in time to August 2018 ;-)

Despite the other clump of interlockings being back-to-back, 'C' boards were still provided despite a standing special instruction allowing non-cab signal equipped locomotives operating from the Buffalo Line to Enola Yard over the cab signaled Pittsburgh Line.  Wonder if they'll get the 'C' signals.  Could be a predictable way to catch a rare signal.


In other news, the new signals on the upper part of the NS Buffalo Line were also cut over affecting from CP-LINDEN through CP-LANE (exclusive).  This includes the classic two track signal bridges at MP 199 and MP 197.  There has been some rumbling that the southern section may follow in a few weeks.


Just goes to show, get your photos while you can.  Thanks to my mixup I didn't get those final pics of the former 4-track CP-ROCKVILLE modern style position light gantry.
